The Management Committee of Cotebrook Village Hall is delighted to announce that they have been successful in their application to the National Lottery Community Fund. Following consideration of the village hall’s proposals, a grant of £90, 920 has been generously awarded to enable the committee to undertake a project to update and modernise the original main hall, to enhance facilities and features to blend in with the new extension and to bring in line with modern requirements.
The aim of the project is to continue to provide a multi-purpose community hub to enable the organisation to build on the success of their recent work to ensure the village hall is accessible to all and that it is a comfortable venue attractive to hirers. It will ensure that the hall continues to be a base for the community’s own activities and events as well as providing facilities that will encourage a range of social and professional services into this small rural community.
The project is planned to start in October 2019 with the date for completion by January 2020.
We again thank the National Lottery Community Fund but also extend our thanks to all committee members who have engaged in hard work to bring this phase of the hall’s history to fruition. We have been significantly encouraged by the interest in the hall and all the new hiring’s after the completion of Phase One. We are sure that our building and the resources that it will provide will be the pride of Cotebrook and all who use the building.
